PASTORS:
BRIAN CAMPBELL - Senior Pastor
Pastor Brian became the lead pastor of Calvary in December of 2007 after 24 years of ministry in North Carolina.
Pastor Brian, a native of Ohio, was saved at age 17 and shortly thereafter felt a call to ministry which led him to Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida. It was there that he met his wife Jamie. They married on July 26, 1980 at Jamie’s home church in Pennsylvania. After graduation, they moved to Manteo, North Carolina as youth/associate Pastor at First Assembly of God. From there the Lord led them to First Assembly of God in Charlotte, N.C. where Pastor Brian was the Youth Pastor for 5 years, and then the Lead Pastor for 11 years. On January 1, 2000, Past Brian began a new assignment as Lead Pastor of First Assembly of God in Hickory, N.C. During his 8-year tenure there, the church experienced tremendous growth in every area. In addition to pastoring, Pastor Brian was a North Carolina Executive Presbyter and continues to serve on several missions’ boards and committees. At the height of ministry in Hickory, with no intentions of ever leaving, God began dealing with the Campbell’s hearts to come to Calvary. After several weeks of waiting on the Lord, they accepted the call to Dunwoody. Already, Calvary has seen growth and a great sense of excitement.
The Campbell’s have been blessed with 3 beautiful daughters and a son-in-law. Lindy (25) graduated from Southeastern University in 2004 and is a Marketing Coordinator for a company in Charlotte. Kristy (23) graduated from Appalachian State University in 2006, married Taylor Lutz in 2006, and is a Marketing Coordinator for a company in Hickory. Keri (21) will graduate from school in Florida this year.
Pastor Brian’s passion is to reach lost, hurting people with the love of Christ. He believes church should be a place where people find unconditional love and acceptance, and through God’s grace, experience changed lives.
